Internship project
SIMBAN
A website redesign that enhances user experience through simplified navigation, immersive visuals, and cohesive branding.
Project Background
Simban is building an open digital ecosystem that allows users to log in and “travel” across interconnected virtual worlds, including digital twins of real-world locations.
To support its vision of creating an infinite digital universe, the company initiated a full website redesign aimed at:
-
Attracting new users and strategic partners
-
Strengthening brand identity in the VR and metaverse space
-
Improving overall user experience
The redesigned website needed to clearly communicate Simban’s innovation, immersive potential, and long-term vision—inviting users to connect, explore, and participate in a thriving digital economy.

Design Challenge
The core challenge was to enhance usability while expressing Simban’s futuristic, cosmic brand identity.
The website required interactive elements such as transition animations, hover effects, and expandable content areas. Detailed information needed to be revealed progressively (via buttons or hover interactions) to maintain a clean interface while ensuring full functionality.
Simplifying the navigation structure to avoid information overload
Integrating key information into a clean and concise layout
Using brand-defined colors and typography to maintain visual consistency
Incorporating dynamic visuals and motion effects to reinforce the cosmic theme
My Role
During this internship, I worked as both a Game Developer and UI/UX Designer.
For the website redesign, I was primarily responsible for:
-
Redesigning the website interface to improve usability and visual appeal
-
Streamlining the navigation bar and information architecture
-
Selecting and applying dynamic templates and motion visuals to emphasize the cosmic theme
-
Ensuring brand consistency through the use of official colors and typography
-
Designing interactive features such as hover effects, transition animations, and expandable content modules
This project was a collaborative effort. I worked closely with a teammate, as well as front-end and back-end developers, to ensure seamless translation of design concepts into functional implementation.
